Camshaft driving gears are arranged on flywheel side of the engine. Thrust bearing are integrated in the engine bedplate between the camshaft gear and the flywheel.
Engine operating equipments such as the fuel handle, starting button, speed control handle, camshaft change-over Lever for reversing and gauge board arearranged on fore-port side of the engine.
The turbocharger and the intercooler are arranged on aft side and lubricating oil pump, cylinder lubricator and rockerarm lubricator are fitted on fore side.
All models of LHL series engnies are of inline six cylinder type which is considered optimum in shaft balancing.

Based on the result of bench tests of Pmax increasing and stress measurement as well as actual results obtained delivered engnies, essential components such as the cylinder head, the cylinder liner, the cylinder block were researched from both mechanical and thermal stress view points and have designed to be provided with sufficient durability and reliability.
